The three most common reasons for water leakage from heating pumps are dirty filters or heat exchanging coils, pled drains, and a lack of refrigerant. They are pretty easy to diagnose and repair.

Remember: Turn off the strength source to your air conditioner before trying many of the following!

1. Dirty Filters and and also Blocked Heat Exchanger

When the filters, or heat exchanging coil, are dirty or blocked, this causes a restriction in air flow. This in turn may then cause the temperature with the coil to drop. In the event the coil temperature drops below zero, moisture in the air that is condensating on the coil can freeze and form little ice flakes which are then blown away from your air conditioner, causing mineral water leakage.

Examine the filters, and if they look dirty, give them a superb clean with the hosepipe and also shower head. Remove the many dirt and give them a spray with a kitchen or bathroom antiseptic spray to kill any bacteria or mould about them.

Check that aluminum coil behind your filters. If it is usually covered in dry lint, try vacuuming the coil carefully with the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. If it is especially dirty, you will need to use a garden spray bottle and a strong grease removing kitchen area cleaner. Spray it relating to the coil, allow to work for around 5 minutes then rinse the coil off with the spray bottle. This should take away the dirt and improve air flow. Please be careful not to spray water near the electrical panel on air conditioner.

ALWAYS see the manufacturers' manuals on how to clean your heat pump or air conditioning unit correctly!

two. Blocked Drains

For a wall mounted ductless air conditioner, a blocked drain may be pretty obvious and simple to diagnose. Water will usually get down the wall from the back of the unit and will also leak through the air outlet at the front if the drain is actually blocked.

Stand on a small ladder and look down from the top of the air conditioner. Towards the bottom in the heat exchanger is slightly plastic tray which was designed to catch the condensate that is generated by the cooling mode in the air conditioner. Check that it tray is not filled with water or overflowing.

But if the outdoor unit is directly behind the wall this indoor unit is installed on, your drain pipe will likely follow the pipework in the wall and drip in the garden. If this is a case, find the end with the drain pipe outside, wipe the end clean with a cloth then blow as hard as you can into it. ac repair
